ANGELA LYTTLE, MSN, CNM

Owner and Nurse Midwife

Angela Lyttle, MSN, CNM is a 2012 Frontier Nursing University graduate. She completed her undergraduate nursing degree at Indiana University-Purdue University in 2003.  Angela has worked as a nurse midwife in hospital, home, and birth center practices. She is passionate about partnering with women for optimal health. Angela believes that when women are educated about their bodies and given the information that they need to make informed decisions, this optimizes the health of the woman and creates empowerment. Ultimately, when women are empowered, this elevates the well-being of their children, families, and communities. Angela has been married for over twenty years and has three children.

JULIE STACKHOUSE, MSN, CNM, FNP

Nurse Midwife

Julie worked as a high risk labor and delivery nurse in Fort Wayne, IN for 17 years before attending the University of Saint Francis Fort Wayne to obtain her masters degree in Family Practice as a Nurse Practitioner. She then completed her post-master's in Midwifery at the University of Indianapolis. Julie has practiced as a nurse midwife in a hospital setting before transitioning to provide full scope midwifery care to the Amish communities in Northern Indiana. Julie enjoys meeting with families and helping them during one of the most special times in their lives. In her spare time, Julie enjoys spending time with her four grown children and her grandchildren. She also enjoys traveling and her horses.

AME KOLE, MSN, CNM

Nurse Midwife

Ame’s  BA was in Women’s Health Science with a minor in Spanish.  She worked in a women’s health clinic and studied midwifery in a birth center.  As a certified midwife, she attended birth at the birth center, then later worked in a home birth practice.  After completing her MSN/CNM degree from Case Western Reserve University in 2002, she moved to Indianapolis and worked in a hospital based practice. She has been attending births for 23 years and says it never loses its magic.  Every birth is unique and amazing.  She believes in empowering women and families through pregnancy and beyond as they and their families grow. She has had two beautiful babies, both water babies born at home.  She is a strong supporter of breastfeeding and did extended breastfeeding with her children. She is always up for a new adventure, whether it is running a marathon, traveling, or learning to knit a sweater.  But her favorite activity is laying in a hammock, snuggling with her children, and reading a book.

GRACE DIBLE, MSN, CNM

Nurse Midwife

Grace has always known her calling was to be a midwife. She is passionate about supporting people through the special season of parenthood. Grace has a bachelor's in biology from Marian University, a bachelor's of nursing from the University of Miami, and received her midwifery degree from Frontier Nursing University. She is currently a Ph.D. Student at IUPUI studying ways to improve postpartum care in Indiana. Grace feels especially called to improve "4th-trimester” support. As a former client of Sacred Roots, she believes that Sacred Roots offers the best postpartum support in the entire city. Grace has worked as a nurse in Miami, FL, and Indianapolis, IN hospitals and was a nurse and student midwife at Sacred Roots. When Grace isn’t working, she is spending time with her husband and 2 sons.

BAYLEY PHAM, RN

Birth Assistant

Bayley has her BSN from Indiana University. Before starting at Sacred Roots, Bayley worked in labor and delivery at the Riley Hospital's Maternity. She also has experience in the neuro and cardiac adult world. After working on the hospital side of labor and delivery, Bayley is excited about working more with the natural and holistic side of the birthing process. Getting to be a small part of a family's pregnancy and birth is something so special that she has come to love. Born and raised in Indianapolis, Bayley now resides in Fishers with her husband and her four fur babies. In her spare time, Bayley enjoys spending time with her family, cooking and baking, and spending too much money at Target.

DIANA HAYMOND, RN

Birth Assistant

Diana graduated from IU School of Nursing with her BSN and is currently attending Frontier Nursing University with plans to graduate as a Certified Nurse Midwife in 2023.  Diana really enjoys the relationships built with clients through empowering women and shared decision making. She loves the personalized care provided to Sacred Roots clients. Diana has more than 10 years experience in perinatal care, and every birth she attends is as special as the first. She feels honored to get to assist and care for women as they prepare for such a special and intimate moment in their life.

 

When Diana is not at Sacred Roots, she leads quite the busy life. As a mother of 6, there is little downtime, but when it does occur, she enjoys time with her husband, children, and animals. The simplest activities, such as reading, listening to music, and relaxing on the couch together are the highlights of her week.

Birth Assistant

Rachel believes in empowering the birthing person by putting them at the center of informed decision making. She is passionate about cultivating a birth community that is inclusive of all races, cultures, and identities.

 

Rachel earned her nursing degree from Ivy Tech. She started her nursing career on a gynecological-oncology floor and has worked in a hospital labor and delivery setting at Riley Children's Hospital. She has always been passionate about female reproductive healthcare. Her dream job is to become a Certified Nurse Midwife. 

 

She was born and raised in Indy and currently lives here with her partner, her boxer/border collie named Raven, and her cat Oliver. She enjoys embroidering, bread baking, road tripping, and farmers-marketing.

Aszura has 15 years of experience as a Certified Medical Assistant, initially inspired by her love for moms. She herself, is a mother of 3, with 2 beautiful grandchildren. She has an artist's heart and channels her creativity through her belly (and hands etc.) casting business.

BAILEY LYTTLE

Office Manager

Bailey is our Office Manager. She is in charge of making sure things run smoothly around Sacred Roots. After graduating from high school in Indiana, Bailey moved to Portland, OR for 3 years, before moving back home to Indianapolis. When she's not in school or at Sacred Roots, Bailey leads a quiet life with her boyfriend, Taylor. She enjoys reading, hiking, and the snuggles of her cat, Matilda and puppy, Jasmine.  She is excited to be a part of the team and enjoys orchestrating growth in the practice.

MICHAELLA CALHOUN

Front Office Coordinator

Michaella graduated in 2018 from the Fairbanks School of Public Health with her B.S. in Health Services Management and a minor in Anthropology. She is passionate about supporting and empowering birthing people through all stages of life, and believes midwifery care to be the perfect avenue for improving access to care across the U.S. Michaella has been married for 5 years now and has a 2 year old daughter. In her free time, Michaella loves to spend time with her family outdoors, baking with her daughter, and taking care of her plant babies.

LISA DAUGHERTY

Communications Coordinator

Lisa graduated from Purdue University and has been teaching yoga in Indianapolis for 19 years.  She loves meeting new people in her role at Sacred Roots as a Communications Coordinator, helping to answer questions and provide information and assistance to potential clients. She is an experienced doula with a passion for pregnancy and women wellness, empowered birth and postpartum support. She had out of hospital births with all four of her daughters.  In her spare time, she loves hiking, gardening, drumming and dancing. 

RACHEL DUBOIS

Communications Coordinator

Rachel graduated from Ball State University with a BS in Sociology. After two out of hospital births, one at Sacred Roots, she fell in love with the philosophy and purpose of midwifery care. Rachel believes every family should feel confident and empowered throughout the pregnancy and birth process, and that all families deserve compassionate and informed care. She is happiest when she is supporting people and works to create collaboration and efficiency, enabling progress and growth. She has a passion for people all around, but has a deep love for pregnancy, birth, and the joy of the journey.
When she’s not chasing her kids and cats around, she enjoys cross stitch, crafting, reading, and generally finding the simple joys in life.

KASSONDRA CORN

Billing Coordinator

Kassondra contracts with Sacred Roots to meet the billing and insurance needs for our clients. She is an experienced front office coordinator and biller/coder. She has an Associates Degree in Medical Reimbursement from Harrison College and is a Certified Medical Coder. Kassondra is married with 3 children and 2 dogs. She enjoys spending time with her family, reading, camping, and coaching various youth sports.
